Description
Are you an experienced supply chain professional looking for the next step in your career? We have a 12 month opportunity for supply chain partner to join us in our commercial team.
Your role will be to identify and implement efficiencies within the supply chain to reduce the costs of goods and improve customer service.
You'll be instrumental in pulling together internal controls and processes, working collaboratively with the business making process improvements and providing supply chain management and commercial insights.
As our Supply Chain Partner, you will be instrumental in creating a pipeline and helping to establish a framework for suppliers.
You'll be responsible for setting up a robust provision to support programmes across the group to support DLO delivery targets as an example.
Of course, there's also an element of future proofing so you'll play a key role in strategic forecasting ensuring the supply chain is flexible on demand and can meet the needs of our business as we grow and adapt.
About you
You will bring with you demonstrable experience in supply chain management and be able to look at current ways of working with a view to make them more efficient and effective to meet the needs of the business.
Communication will be key as you will be working with a variety of stakeholders, whose needs you will have to manage.
We are going through a period of change with our supply chain, so you will need to be adaptable, flexible and open to challenging conversations to ensure we are getting the best out of our supply chain.
You will also need to have experience analysing and managing data, prices, and purchase information as there's elements of procurement involved (but you don't need to be a procurement expert, we have a team in-house who will support).
The role can be carried out flexibly, we work in a hybrid way, but you will need to be willing and able to travel across our operating areas as and when required.
