Haymarket is a successful international specialist media company.

We have over 60 market-leading brands in the consumer and B2B markets across the UK, US, Asia, India and Germany, connecting people and communities across digital, print, festivals, awards, conferences, and exhibitions.

As a global business operating in diverse markets, we are inherently multicultural and we are committed to attracting, developing and retaining talent who reflect the communities we serve.

We equally recognise our broader responsibility to society as a whole and use our power and influence to drive diversity, equity and inclusion within our markets.

Wonderly is Haymarket Media Group's agency division, producing world-class content for global brands.

On behalf of Volkswagen Group (
VWG), we operate Hub, the main digital communications channel between its sub-brands - including Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and ŠKODA, Volkswagen Financial services - and its UK network of retailers and repair centres.

This role focuses on writing engaging content to keep the people who work in Volkswagen's car dealerships up to date with all the latest news, updates, offers and incentives, so that they have all the information to excel at their jobs.

You'll be working in a fast-moving corporate environment and expected to turn your hand to a wide variety of tasks and content types, collaborating day-to-day with stakeholders across Volkswagen head office.

Responsibilities:

Editorial

  • Direct daytoday management of a brand Hub, ensuring the site runs smoothly, content is always accurate, engaging, searchoptimised, and it is produced with the audience's needs in mind, as well as those of the client. Evidenced by client feedback and improving site performance metrics, such as traffic and user numbers.
  • Provision of highquality editorial services, so that content is always efficient, effective and targeted, and employs the most appropriate medium, such as long
- and short-form text, infographics, video, audio, forms, polls and quizzes. Evidenced by quarterly content reviews with the Director of Content.

  • Define and agree a datadriven content strategy with the brand that informs content commissioning decisions, is used to plan new content and campaigns, and supports the brand's retailer communication objectives.
Stakeholder management

  • Excellent stakeholder management, always striving to build and strengthen positive relationships through a helpful, diplomatic, professional and expert approach, and mindful that you are an ambassador for Wonderly.
  • Proactively engage with the brand team to ensure they involve you and your reports at an early stage in the content development process, focusing on the overall objective and shaping the content solution to suit.
  • Undertake regular (monthly and quarterly) meetings with the brand stakeholder to report on and review content performance, plan new activities, and prioritise the production, promotion and curation of the most important content, including via the Hub homepage, newsletters and other tools such as alerts and notifications (inc SMS).
  • Proactively seek opportunities to develop the account by identifying new ways to solve business challenges and drive incremental revenue, and raising these with the Director of Content and Group Account Director.
Brand and audience understanding

  • Build a detailed understanding of the
VWG retail network and your core audience's needs to ensure content provides maximum utility and efficiency to users, and we provide helpful onward journeys. This should include regular retailer visits, audience interviews and personal development.
  • Build a detailed understanding of the brand strategy and retailer communication objectives, so that Hub itself and the content you publish always reflects the brand's priorities, guidelines and toneofvoice.
Collaboration

  • Regular collaboration with other Wonderly teams (eg. Digital, Account Management) to prioritise, develop and deliver enhancements to Hub that benefit user experience and client satisfaction, and improve editorial effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with peers and the Director of Content to contribute to monthly team meetings, sharing editorial best practice and encouraging others to, and ensuring all meetings are useful and productive.
  • Proactively contribute to Wonderly's culture by regularly participating in and contributing to agency meetings and creative and social activities.

Skills & Experience:

3+ years in B2B or B2C digital publishing, preferably working on digital communications for a major brand or on a busy, high-traffic news website.
