Our Specialist Perinatal Mental Health team supports new mums and mums-to-be experiencing severe to moderate mental health illness during the perinatal period.

This an exciting time to join the team as we continue to grow and develop to deliver a high-quality mental health response to women in the perinatal period and their partners.

You will work as part of an established integrated multi-disciplinary Specialist Perinatal Mental Health team which promotes a dynamic and innovative way of working, triaging and responding to referrals, conducting face to face assessments and therapeutic interventions working with other team members to provide a holistic and bespoke approach to every family on our caseload.

The team is made up of a Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Peer Support Workers, Health Visitor, Nursery Nurses, Social Workers, a Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychologists, with the support of an admin team.

We work closely with several System partners such as Health Visiting, Maternity Services and Safeguarding

Band 5 developmental posts will be considered for the right applicants and can be discussed at interview.


Main duties of the job:


The post holder will have a core qualification (eg RMN, OT or SW), will have previous experience of working within mental health services.

They will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the effective provision of Perinatal Mental and Infant Mental Health Services to an identified caseload of women.

The post holder will work as a senior member of the team and liaise with a wide range of both statutory and non-statutory agencies to provide creative packages of care that meet national standards set out by NHSE and the Royal College of Psychiatrists Perinatal Quality Network.

The
post holder will be involved in the triaging of referrals to the service,
