Residential Activity Worker - Drivers Only


Location:
Based in ST9


Salary:
£12.50 to £13.00 per hour - £25,350 - £26,364 per year

Estimated 9 sleep ins per month at £62.64 per sleep-in (up to an additional £ per year on top of your salary)


Shift patterns: 4 on 8 off, including overnights

More about the role


You will be part of a team that provides a safe and often life changing experiences for children and young people, led and supported by a Registered Manager.


Activity and Intervention services offer a twelve-week programme for young people who require alternative accommodation to break the cycle of circumstances they find themselves in.

During that stay, young people take part in number of adventurous activities which aim to restore their self-confidence, build trust and establish positive relationships with highly trained and experienced adults.


There is a heavy focus on taking part in outdoor/physical activities, including mountain biking, adventurous jumping, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hill walking, rock climbing and bouldering.

Living and working with young people over four
- or five-day shifts, including overnights, our Activity teams provide support in a range of different places across the Cheshire area and North Wales national parks.


What do you need?
An enjoyment of outdoor activities and a willingness to learn new skills.

We want people who are naturally caring, flexible and resilient.

Experience and previous qualifications are not necessary but are welcome and will be recognised in your hourly pay rate.

You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins with full-time and part-time hours being available.
