Atkins Search are looking to recruit a Junior Design Manager / Design Coordinator to join the Design team of one of the region's leading construction main contractors to deliver a mix of interesting projects across the region

The Role

Supported by the Design Managers and Director, you will be responsible for assisting on live projects in the management of the design processes, promoting integration of disciplines and select, managing and appointing consultants to ensure that they perform in line with their deed and agreed scope of services.

Your support will allow the Senior team to focus on Preconstruction and gives you atonomy to take ownership of live projects in a supported environment.

The value of projects range from circa £10m - £20m in value across the public and private sectors.

Requirements:

Experience of various forms of construction technology
Understanding of CAD and Microsoft Office
Design manager experience with a main contractor
Experience of multiple or largescale project delivery
Experience of reading and interpreting drawings and technical specifications
Experience of managing specialist designers and managing others in your team
Navigation experience of design package software
Construction related degree
Experience of JCT/ NEC forms of contract
Experience of using 4P EDMS
