Service Lead - up to £21,615 per annum


We have an exciting opportunity for a full time (35 hours) Activity Lead to join our team at our Day Centre in the City of Sheffield.

We are looking for someone with creative experience, to act as a role model for our staff teams and take some responsibility for the day to day running of the activities undertaken at the service.

You will be required to attend, participate and lead within team meetings and service user reviews, ensure medication procedures are in place, activity timetables are upheld and updates as well as ensuring service users are supported appropriately.

You will be required to undertake specified, managerial responsibilities which contribute to the overall management of the support services provided.

You will be required to support on shift where needed to meet the needs of the people we support.

Working hours are flexible to the needs of the people we support but may in the future include evenings and weekends.


You will play a key role in the assessment of service users and the development of a Person Centred Plan.

You will help facilitate the participation of all support workers in implementation of the agreed plan.

It is essential that you have the following experience:

  • Demonstrable track record of working with people with learning disabilities in an enabling environment.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage your own time/ work load effectively
  • Commitment to the principles of community care.
  • Understanding of development needs of adults with a learning disability (social, personal, physical, occupational and leisure)
  • Understanding of the needs of people with disabilities, including learning disabilities, multiple disabilities and complex needs
  • You will be supporting our Service Users to achieve their individual goals and lead full and productive lives as valued members of their community, while ensuring services provided adhere to Real Life Options' values.
