We are looking for a People partner to join our team for a maternity cover of c. 12 months.
Where in Wellcome will I be working?
You will be working in People Operations team within the People reporting to the Head of People Partnering
We launched our exciting new strategy last year and have been working on ensuring that we have the structure and people to deliver it.
We have also embarked on a transformation journey, investing in great technology (Workday, Darwin) to offer a better experience to our people; built solid foundations to help move us on our journey to world class service and re-engineered the People Partner role to enable it to offer true strategic partnering to our client groups.
What will I be doing?As a People Partner, you will:
- Support the Lead People Partner with stakeholder management and business engagement for a number of client groups in Wellcome and act as trusted advisor and critical friend to managers within these functional areas in delivering people priorities for their teams
- Work collaboratively with other Centres of Expertise (CoE) on implementing annual processes such as performance and pay and activities related to talent development
- Implement any OD changes including (but not limited to) supporting consultations, exit agreements, TUPEs
- Manage successful outcomes for complex people queries, sickness absence and ER cases escalated by the People Service Desk or client group area, acting as key liaison with SLT/line manager groups as required
- Work closely with People Services team to oversee all joiners/movers/leavers processes for the client group including all necessary Workday approvals, escalating to Senior People Partner where necessary
- Provide key insights around the People Dashboard with the support of the People Analytics Manager to help drive, meaningful and improvements all aspects of the work of being a people partner.
In this role you will work with leaders and managers as a trusted partner to help them deliver the Wellcome people's strategy whilst managing a high quality and consistent approach.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience (CIPD Level 7 qualified) in partnering, with leaders and managers, and working together with CoE's to support the delivery of people priorities
- Has worked in a People Partner/Shared Services HR model, with a strong understanding of HR policies and best practice as well as Employee Relations experience
- Has great attention to detail, is able to analyse relevant people data to effect efficient people solutions as well as able to support with people project implementation and embedding expertise
- Understands the importance of People partnering and is able to evidence good stakeholder management skills, be able to build relationships and communicate an effectively (verbal & writing)
- Will contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments
