Head of Performing Arts Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Performing Arts department, with a special focus on Physical Education.
- Develop and implement an innovative curriculum that integrates performing arts and physical education to promote holistic development.
- Organize and oversee engaging performances and events that showcase both artistic and athletic talents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create crosscurricular projects that encourage students to explore connections between the arts and physical activity.
- Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure the effective delivery of both Performing Arts and PE lessons.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel empowered to participate and excel in both artistic and athletic pursuits.
Head of Performing Arts Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status with experience teaching both Performing Arts and Physical Education at a secondary level.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- A passion for both the arts and physical activity, with a commitment to promoting the holistic development of young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A creative approach to curriculum development, with the ability to integrate performing arts and physical education in innovative ways.
- Strong organisational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
