Description
My client is the world's largest survival technology provider. They are a global company of 3,000 professionals with presence in 96 countries.?

  • They require an experienced Network Engineer to support the global network infrastructure. Aligned to group technology and reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure, you will be a key member of a team responsible for supporting the existing network infrastructurewhilst supporting and helping deliver a global network refresh across both LAN and WAN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical escalation point and collaboration source to partners and vendors
  • Provide support to ongoing major network programs including a Network LAN and WAN refresh
  • Be involved in the design and implementation of a refreshed LAN & WAN in line with business requirements
  • Create, document and agree the LAN and WAN topology for global sites
  • Ensure the network is performing at optimal levels, liaising with external service providers where necessary
  • Monitoring and maintenance of the security, integrity and performance of core network
  • Support compliance reporting through the remediation of identified network vulnerabilities
  • Working closely with network vendors and outsourcing partners to provide input and continuously improve service
  • Ensure cloud hosting network design is appropriate

Essential Experience

  • Enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN management
  • Strong knowledge across WAN technologies including SD-WAN
  • Extensive experience of network technologies particularly Meraki & Cisco
  • Strong experience of firewall technologies, particularly Versa, watchguard, Cisco & Meraki
  • Experience with ISP and circuit supplier engagements
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable and secure network solutions
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network relates issues

Desirable Experience

  • Cisco certification, preferably CCNP
  • Azure network certification
  • Outsourced Supplier management?
  • Experience with ServiceNow?
The role offers hybrid working with one day per week in the company office on the outskirts of Belfast
