Brief job description:

To aid colleagues of RDG and provide IT Support and Facilities.


The role will be key in supporting our client base with problem resolution and equipment deployment to the diverse user base that may include both internal and external stakeholders.

Assisting the Service Desk Team Leader and Team in the day-to-day operation of office services. Delivering critical 1st line support to our users and supporting a wide range of technologies.

The IT & Facilities Team consists of ten members (excluding this role)


Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • General IT Support, dealing with hardware and software enquiries.
  • First line support to resolve technical issues.
  • To maintain a Service Desk System including asset register and reporting.
  • General hardware and software support.
  • To develop and maintain good working relationships with the IT & Facilities Team and across the Organisation. To help ensure the team operates effectively and efficiently.
  • Installing and configuring software and hardware.
  • Account creation and maintenance.
  • Facilitate office service support to include essential services such as Stationery, Furniture, Printing and Couriers amongst other things.
  • Setup and maintain front of house Meeting Rooms.
  • Ensuring all Office Space, Meeting Rooms, and Storage Areas are free of obstacles and present a safe working environment.
  • Covering the Reception Desk to assist Visitors and answering Telephone Calls as and when required.
  • Any adhoc duties that meet the needs of the Business.

Qualifications:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)


Skills Required:


  • No previous IT work experience required.
  • Able to display some technical understanding of IT hardware such as laptops and mobile phones.
  • Able to operate Windows 10/11 and iOS operating systems.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of how to work within a team environment.
  • Able to understand and describe what high quality customer service is.
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly.

Future prospects:

The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.


Training to be provided:

Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

  • Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure
  • physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
  • Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
  • Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
  • Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
  • Support the information systems needs for your business.
