This prestigious global organisation based in Farnborough, are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their busy Accounts team.


This temporary full-time role will be offered on a hybrid working scheme and would suit someone who has previous experience working in an accounts department across both ledgers and who is immediately available or available at short notice.

This is a temporary role with a strong likelihood that this position will be made permanent.


Accounts Assistant - About the Role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working alongside 1 other Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for a variety of accounts activities which will include:

  • Checking for incoming funds and allocating it to the appropriate customer account
  • Download and prepare daily finances report
  • Daily setting up payments, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place
  • Ensuring invoices are uploaded for the authorisation process.
  • Monthly review of VAT transaction and quarterly VAT return upload
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and calculating depreciation
  • Intercompany reconciliation
  • Posting payroll journals and maintaining payroll reconciliations
  • Preparing accruals and prepayments at month end; maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and posting appropriate journals into Oracle.
  • Preparation of European VAT reclaim
  • Preparation of year end audit documents

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience of working in an accounts department
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
