Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technician (EC&I)

Permanent

Plymouth

DK Recruitment are looking for several ECI Technician's to join their client's team on a permanent basis in Plymouth.


Reporting directly to the ECI Supervisor, you will be inspecting, testing and recommissioning existing equipment as well as modifying and upgrading older equipment to include panel building, rewiring, and setting to work.


Some Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the maintenance team.
  • Produce detailed condition reports for the department head.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance, compliance tasks and upgrade works.
  • Test and inspect equipment, recording of defects and deficiencies.
  • Perform fault finding and defect identification on electrical equipment and instrumentation
  • Maintaining building electrical services to including power and lighting

Skills & Qualifications

Essentials:


  • NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical, Control or Instrumentation discipline or City & Guilds Electro technology certificate.
  • Minimum of 5 years' time served in an industrial environment
  • Have a strong understanding of safe systems of work and permit systems
  • Knowledge of MMS.
  • Experience of working with: Industrial electrical supply systems.

Desirable:


  • Knowledge of 18th Edition electrical regulations.
  • Inspection and testing 239
  • Confined space training.
  • Working at height.
  • Slinger and signalling experience.
