Description

Due to an increase in workload and introduction of a new product range, my client, an International engineering company based near Malton are looking to recruit a Junior Quality Inspector to join their existing team on a permanent basis.

This position is based on days and available for an immediate start.

Hours - Mon - Thurs / Fri

Large amount of Overtime available all paid at premium rates.

Role Description

  • Verify mechanical and machining materials based upon FET drawings and test specifications.
  • Inspection of Basic/Simple fabricated and machined components to engineering drawings.
  • Perform mechanical inspections (under supervision) for components and completed assemblies, paint shop inspections, visual inspections and thickness measurements
  • Assist with the company's calibration program.
  • Complete all necessary documentation according to company requirements, (including timesheets, NCR's. etc.)
  • Assist with the filing of Quality records.
  • Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices.
  • Ensure good housekeeping.
Skills & Attributes

  • Time served in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Ideal
  • Knowledge of traditional measuring equipment Micrometers/ Verniers
  • Experience in as a Quality Inspector within an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment.( Advantageous)
