An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful engineering company within the aerospace sector.They are looking to recruit a Permanent and full-time Stores Operative to work 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am - 1:30pm on a Friday.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, role and responsibilities are as follows:
Receive, inspect, and record shipments.
Unload packages and check contents to ensure they match the orders.
Maintain Stores and Bonded Stores to a high standard
Issue stored products and material to Production
Receive and store products following Production
Coordinate product dispatch with consideration to customer specifications and regulatory requirements
Data entry on the Company ERP system
Your main duties will include the following:
Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
Unload packages from incoming trucks
Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
Raise Supplier Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs)
Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
Ensure signed delivery notes and associated documentation (e.g., Mill Certification, Supplier Certificates of Conformity and Reports) are uploaded to the ERP system and the original documentation handed to the Office for filing.
Maintain Stores and Bonded Stores to a high standard
Issue stored products and material to Production
Receive and store products following Production
Coordinate product dispatch with consideration to customer specifications and regulatory requirements
Data entry on the Company ERP system
Ideally you will have:
Proven experience as Stores Operative or similar position in an aerospace tool making / engineering environment
Excellent Clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers
Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
Basic maths and recording abilities
Experience in operating forklifts
Solid understanding of health and safety requirements
