  • Friday opportunity with 1 in 3 Saturdays required to work.

About Our Client:

My client is a large Transport & Haulage business, with a site based in Appleton Thorn.

Due to rapid expansion in the workforce, as a result of revenue growth the business are now looking to bolster their Transport team with a Transport Planner for a permanent Monday - Friday shift pattern with 1 in 3 Saturdays required to work.


  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across all UK depots
  • Create a delivery plan which is effective and achievable
  • Manage workloads to meet demand and deadlines
  • Smart planning required to utilise vehicles effectively
  • Reviewing routes and suppliers to ensure transport is planned cost effectively and to maximise profitability
  • Communicating with sub contractors on a daily basis
  • Ensure any paperwork is filled in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations

The Successful Applicant:


  • 6 months+ experience in Transport Planning
  • Able to communicate with sub contractors and internal drivers
