The role

  • Generating market awareness and leads via online channels (including SEFirst website, The Hub, LinkedIn, external lead generation, industry webinars, Round Table events, workshops).
  • Driving "warm leads" through Introducer Partners including Associations, selfemployed sales and technology partners.
  • Driving sales appointments in telesales, building out the team in size and effectiveness.
  • Growing SEFirst's Field Sales Team and increasing the effectiveness of existing teams.
  • Integrate all activity into Salesforce CRM and providing MI.
  • Develop appropriate means of team incentives and processes to maximise a positive impact and high levels of team motivation.
  • Nurture the team and create a highperformance culture.
  • Input into the service delivery process finding differentiating profitable service lines.
  • Act as a sustainability ambassador of SEFirst presenting at industry events and reinforcing a strong network of prosects and partners.
  • Leverage their own network of corporate prosects and partners to grow new sales.
  • Report the plan and results to the Board and SMT.
  • Collaborate with fellow Directors and the Board becoming a key part of a tightknit team.
  • Proven track record of sales growth in B2B corporate market.
  • Proven track record of growing a successful sales team.
  • Highly focussed on success.
  • Has own network of corporate contacts.
  • Ability to integrate into the SMT and collaborate with various parts of the business.
  • Is systematic in delivering the growth plan and reporting MI.
  • Understands the UK utility and sustainability landscape.
  • Understands B2B marketing fundaments.
  • Has led a corporate sales team.
  • Utility / Sustainability experience.
  • Has owned and developed growth plans.
  • Must have consistent tenure in post of 3 years plus.

Looking after our team


Basic hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5:30pm and Friday 9am to 5pm (37 hours a week).

Other than the initial training period, where there will be increased requirement to work from SE First's offices in St Annes, there is a business requirement to work in the SE First office for a minimum of 2 days per week, but the remainder of the week can be worked from home.

The nature of the role will mean there will be times some extra hours will be needed. However, these will not be dictated and the job holder will know themselves when such additional hours are needed.


Immediate benefits include:

  • 25 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays (holiday year runs from 1st January). This increases by 1 day per year for the first 5 complete years of commencement of employment, increasing entitlement to a maximum of 30 days.
