Green Metals UK Ltd (GMUK) is 100% focused on Total Waste Management and is a growing business within the Toyota Tsusho group of companies, providing sophisticated solutions to waste management requirements, dealing with a wide range of waste streams.

GMUK have a position available for a Health & Safety & Environment Specialist to ensure that GMUK complies with all relevant HSE procedures & policies and maintains accurate reporting internally and to customer.

Both Part-time and Full-time working will be considered for this vacancy.

Principal Accountabilities

• Support creation, monitoring and reporting of H&S procedures.
• Ensure all visitors to site adhere to H&S Procedures.
• Support creation, monitoring and reporting of EMS.
• Ensure all parties adhere to EMS Procedures.
• Support with annual waste sampling plan.
• Support with annual duty of care audit schedule.
• Support with all Environmental monitoring
• Support with Environmental audits on site & internal.
• Support with training GMUK & customer staff on SHE issues
• Monitoring & reporting of Hazardous waste transactions.
• Assist manager with classification of waste.
• Liaison with both customer and vendors to ensure compliance.
• Ensure all documentation is compliant.
• Preferred understanding of scrap metal & waste market.
• Preferred understanding of current Health & Safety Compliance Obligations.
• Preferred understanding of current Environmental Compliance Obligations.
• Good interpersonal / communication skills.
• Good organisational & presentation skills.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Accurate, systematic, and excellent attention to detail
• Strong IT literacy (Excel, P/point, Word).

• Full driving license.
• Flexible to travel on shortterm assignments.
• Kaizen business processes (continuous improvement).
• Project management experience.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 37.5 per week


Salary:
£30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
