About the company and department

The RSM Outsourcing team is one of the fastest growing service lines within the UK firm, generating annuity clients for the outsourcing practice which are pivotal to the development of wider relationships across the firm.

The outsourcing team delivers a widespectrum of services - from bookkeeping and management reporting for both the UK and international clients, using its on-shore shared services model, to the preparation of statutory accounts and indirect tax returns for multi-jurisdictional clients, underpinnedby the project management of the RSM International member firms.

The business deploys technology throughout to drive efficiency into its production processes and, in combination with its sector focus, to use analytics to create genuine insight and value toits clients.

The team's overall philosophy is one of collaboration, transparency and partnering - a feature that is not only consistent with the firm but which is core to its contractual terms with clients.


Reporting to the Outsourcing Technology Lead, you will be tasked with completing a range of transition and maintenance activities across multiple software products to support the Outsourcing team in providing outstanding customer service to our clients.


  • To provide support to OTS team members on finance systems, in particular NetSuite.
  • To assist in transitioning new RSM clients moving onto RSM OTS finance systems.
  • Assist in extracting client data from historic accounting systems, manipulate and cleanse data into set import formats, undertake elements of client setup including importing data.
  • Assist in provision of finance systems support to clients.
  • Development and maintenance of procedural documentation for knowledge transfer protocols and takes part in passing knowledge onto new team members as required

Desired Qualifications:


  • A-Level /Graduate, preferably with a finance or IT background
  • Ability to take ownership of duties and a willingness to grow and learn within the team and company;
  • Must be very 'hands on' with can do attitude;
  • Able to prioritise effectively consistently meets deadlines;
  • Capable of task management, problem identification and resolution;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with good presentation and interpersonal skills;
  • Flexible and able to work as part of a team assisting others to ensure team success;
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) (essential)
  • NetSuite / ERP system knowledge (desirable);
  • Basic understanding of accounting terminology.
