About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new care package being put together for our client - a teenage boy with cerebral palsy and complex health and communication issues - in his home and in the community.

He's a warm and enthusiastic person with a great sense of humour and loves getting out and about for physical activities, hydrotherapy and interacting with people.

He is in the process of learning to use various communication aids ahead of him moving to a fully adapted home that will make full use of technology and physical adaptations to suit his needs.

The role is a great opportunity to be part of his journey.

Currently our client shares his pet-free family home with his mum and both older and younger brothers.

The role involves some light domestic duties in support of our client, and the provision of personal care.

You won't need to use your own car while on shift, but you will need to drive the client's manual drive vehicle to get our client out and about in the local community and taking part in activities.

You'll assist our client in attending appointments and possibly in time to accompany him on weekends away and/or holidays.
