Description
We've several long-standing and many new clients in Glasgow and Central Scotland that you will be working very closely with, primarily in the Live Entertainment sector, including:- O2 Academy Glasgow
- O2 Academy Edinburgh
- LiveNation Tours
- University West of Scotland (UWS)
Most of your work will be focused on supporting and stabilizing the growth of operations in our Glasgow venues, however, we work as a team to support each other across Scotland's central belt and further afield for larger events and festivals where we operate as the primary supplier, including Parklife, Lovebox and Tramlines, UK stadium tours, Formula 1 and occasional international events.
You will also be enrolled on the company's unique month Management Development Programme (MDP) with bespoke, industry-leading training in crowd safety management.
Upon completion of the MDP course, alongside achieved qualifications, you will be promoted to Operations Executive level, including salary increase and further benefits.
What you will be doing:
- Effectively manage several our Venue Client Accounts, through taking ownership of our services, leading operations where required, and establishing a solid working relationship with the client
- Ensure highquality delivery of our operations by managing and attending events in consultation with your line manager
- Manage the operational staff teams, ensuring all tasks are carried out in a safe, efficient, and effective manner
- Mentor, motivate and develop the casual workforce in line with company objectives
- Support and ultimately take on Project Management roles for major events and festivals
- Manage your own operational and administrative workload in consultation with your manager
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times, including the effective use of communication, oral and written, and observe high levels of confidentiality
- Comply with all company policies and procedures relating to the role, including laws and regulatory influences
- Respond to internal and external communication in a timely manner
What Showsec can offer you:
- Salary of £28,355 per annum
- 2100 hours per annum (40 hours per week with evening and weekend work)

What we need from you:
- You must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
- Experience in operational supervision/management within Crowd Management, Event or Venue, or Security industries
- A passion for live events
- A full driving licence is preferred
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to build upon existing client relationships
- Strong people management skills, to coach, develop and motivate casual workers
- Be driven by working as part of and leading teams
- Ability to prioritise own workload, manage your own time and sometimes work to tight deadlines
- A personal motivation to progress, grow and succeed
- Great organisational skills to help support larger projects
- Strong administration skills to complete event and project documentation
- Computer literate and competency in Microsoft Office
