Product Creation & Delivery System Administrator

Position Description:


The PCDS (Product Creation & Delivery System) team is responsible for supporting cross functional areas in deliverables and generic timing plans.

They enable the business to Conceive, Develop, Deliver and Launch new products.


Alongside the other members of the team you will play a key role in both maintaining the BAU systems and processes and developing the future version to stay in line with our changing business needs.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Supporting the operational activities required by the PCDS process, including:
  • All administration actions including day to day updates, weekly process tasks and daily enquiries from users.
  • Setting up new programmes in line with cycle plan within programme central.
- iplm ticket management and resolution to support any changes required by the programme teams for their live programmes.

  • Support new users within programme central, with access and training.
  • Updating Programme central date changes in line with amendments to Vehicle Timing Plans
  • Supporting wider PCDS team in ongoing improvements to process based on feedback and related process improvements.
  • Creation of metrics to support programme requirements.
  • Act as support to PCDS Team Members by acting as secondary point of contact for:
  • End users such as Programme Teams and Deliverable Assessors
  • Cross Functional Business Areas
  • Planning Managers / Schedulers
  • Housekeeping and data cleansing, as required, to ensure the integrity of processes
  • Continuous improvement:
  • Highlighting areas for future development to reduce manual activities
  • Support PCDS team in continuous development of documentation to support the infrastructure.
  • Coordinate, manage and deliver in line with departmental requirements.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
  • Assist in testing system improvements
  • Supporting daily activities to support the ongoing use of PCDS
  • You will be fully supported in this role by the PCDS Process Manager and the full resources of the PCDS Team.
  • Supporting the Transformation Team with ongoing projects in order to drive improved programme timings and accelerate the key workstreams to deliver our products to market.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Automotive Programme experience preferred but not essential
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Team player as well as ability to work independently
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Proven ability to work within collaborative teams to deliver process and people related objectives
  • PC literate to include Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Sharepoint, Project and Visio experience desirable
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, be capable of and display a desire for continuous self / team improvement and development.

Education

  • Engineering Degree, or equivalent preferred but not essential
