About us
Camden is building somewhere everyone can thrive, by making our borough the best place to live, work, study and visit.
Here's where you can help decide a better future for us all.
The role
We are excited to be able to offer the opportunity for a Lead Social Work Practitioner to join our team to support adults with mental health needs.
You will contribute the Social Work voice within an integrated service and will be working with a wide range of professionals and agencies to support people who have been detained under the Mental Health Act.
As a Lead Practitioner, you will support the management of the social work service that supports adults with mental health needs, working closely with the Team Manager/Service Manager to embed Camden's Model of Social Work and strengths based practice throughout the service.
This is a fulfilling role which is focused on supporting people out of inpatient settings and onto their next destinations wherever that may be.
About you
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic social work lead practitioner to support our multi-disciplinary team to continue to deliver a high standard of assessment, review and care.
The individual must be confident in managing risk and making decisions as part of complex care planning and also in supporting team members to develop their skills and approaches.
Previous experience of managing social workers is not essential, however you will be able to show how you have supported colleagues to develop and improve their practice and illustrate your proactive approach to continuing professional development.
Ideally, you will have leadership and team building experience whilst knowing how to put your knowledge of systems working into practice.
Working for Camden
We're ready to welcome your ideas, your views, and your rebellious spirit.
Help us redefine how we're supporting people, and we'll redefine what a career can be.
If that sounds good to you, we'd love to talk.
