This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual with at least two years post qualified experience to join a fast paced, highly commercial business that can offer career progression and senior interaction across the whole spectrum of finance activities.


This role sits within the UK Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team which reports directly into the UK Head of FP&A.

You will be working very closely with the UK CFO and wider UK Leadership team, deputising for the UK Head of FP&A when required.

Responsibilities:

It's a business facing position so you would need to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders


Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibility for the production of the quarterly reforecasts and three year plan at both a business unit and legal entity level
  • Business partnering sub divisions of the UK Retail business, helping to drive the future strategy of the business, evaluate its current performance and identify risks and opportunities
  • Work with the Head of UK FPA in delivering a range of Finance projects
  • Perform adhoc financial reporting analysis following requests from senior management including the UK CFO

Person Specification:


  • Relevant professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), with at least 2 years PQE
  • Professional curiosity to ask the "so what" type question
  • Shows initiative, drive and ownership, strong determination to 'get things right' standardised and then automate the production
  • Creative, proactive and innovative does not accept the status quo
  • A high performer with exceptional analytical skills and an ability to make strategic recommendations
  • A confident communicator with an ability to comfortably interact and influence senior business leaders

Nice to haves:


  • Experience in or exposure to the general insurance sector
  • Advanced excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Familiarity with the Oracle platform
  • Experience presenting to management
