Social Value Data Co-ordinator

We have an opportunity for a Social Value Data Co-ordinator here at OCS, to provide data compliance and management, reporting on Social Value activity across the Government Sector and more widely, across the other UK based sectors in OCS.

The insights gainedfrom the reporting will be narrated by the Data Co-ordinator to ensure trends and themes are proactively identified, helping support the delivery of Social Value objectives across the business.

This is a home based/remote role (ideally Midlands-based), with National UK Travel required.


Other Responsibilities will include:


  • Work with the Social Value Manager to analyse and review all sources of social value data, presenting trends, issues, and risks, and highlighting opportunities for improvement of stakeholder satisfaction through dashboards and reports
  • Be responsible for monitoring and developing quality processes for the collection of data and for making improvement recommendations
  • Present analysed data and insights that inform continuous improvement actions
  • Understand the Themes, Outcome and Measures (TOMs) to collate evidence from the various sectors to report the activity into the Social Value Portal
  • Able to design and coordinate data collection surveys and ensure an appropriate data privacy statement is included by collaborating with the Data Protection Officer
  • Collate requirements, define, and understand the need for new reports required for the operational teams within the contracts and liaise with the Social Value Portal partners
  • Identify and understand the data that will need to be collected to meet the bid KPIs
  • Collate good news stories from around the business in relation to People into Work and apprenticeships
  • Support the delivery of positive outcomes to the communities across the Government Sector
  • Act as a Social Value Ambassador always, raising awareness to the agenda, promoting best practice and guiding managers and colleagues
  • Actively participate in the Social Value network within OCS, acting as a coach to other colleagues
  • Support the creation of social value training and delivery of it, to ensure colleagues and managers in the business understand how to report social value activity
  • Work with the Employability team, the Procurement team, and the Sustainability team to understand and collate information and case studies on the Government Sector's social value programme in the key directional focus areas of:
  • Building more socially inclusive recruitment pipelines across the Government Sector
  • Working with young people
  • Volunteering
  • Deputise for the Social Value Manager during defined periods of absence

Qualifications and Experience required:


  • Must have a good standard of education and excellent communication skills OR demonstrate equivalent skills and ability
  • Must have proven experience working with a Social Value tool
  • Must be proficient with Excel, (advanced)
  • Data analytics that produce insight
  • Customer Service Experience
