HR and Development Advisor


Salary and benefits:
£30,000 (plus 10% discretionary annual bonus, free parking, EAP, 25 days holiday (plus BHs) and private health insurance after qualifying period)

Hours:
Full-time 37.5 hours per week (Permanent contract) (Hybrid working available)

Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a HR Advisor to join our ambitious and proactive HR Team.

Hidden Hearing is a private hearing care company that can boast a silver IIP award and high levels of employee engagement.

The HR team is a team of 8 who enjoy working together and are looking for a driven self-starter, comfortable working both on their own and as a pro-active team member.


The role is based at our Support Centre in Maidstone, and we are pleased to be able to offer hybrid working and free parking.


You will have experience of both transactional and transformational HR and tasks will include those consistent with the level of this generalist advisor role e.g.

Supporting and advising managers with

  • Recruitment and onboarding
  • Managing and developing performance
  • Sickness absence
  • Employee engagement
  • Employee wellbeing
  • Employee relations aspects (escalating to the Head of HR as necessary)
In addition, you will be responsible for the

  • Maintenance and upkeep of our elearning systems
  • Planning & scheduling and providing admin support for training events.
  • Maintaining training records


You should be qualified or working towards CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) with recent experience in a similar level of role.

Although not essential, experience of working in a retail, healthcare or sales orientated environment may be beneficial.

We are looking for someone who is proficient in organisation and administration with good numeracy and literacy skills.

You will have a keen desire to develop and a positive outlook with a willingness to listen, learn and work well with others.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with internal stakeholders is really important.


You will have experience of using a HRIS (we are using Success Factors) and be IT literate (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and Teams).


You will be confident to manage your own diary and be able to travel occasionally to attend meetings and training within the UK, occasional overnight stays will be required.
