Technical Desk Manager with excellent experience of management of teams

Derby, Derbyshire (full-time office based)
Here at Xuper we are recruiting for a skilled Technical Desk Manager to join our team based in Derby.

This role will be reporting to our Chief Operations Officer and you will be overseeing a team that will continue to grow in 2023.

You must have managementexperience in additional to your technical expertise.

You must have technical experience in one of the following desirable areas:
Microsoft SharePoint, M365v and other similar cloud technologies whilst other technical knowledge and credentials will be takeninto account.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for manging operations of the Service Desks and help the teams develop
  • Ensure the right conditions and motivation for good teamwork across the teams in several locations
  • Establish professional relationships with clients
  • Identify and explore opportunities for service and business improvements
  • Report on team's analysis and identify any issues ensuring that the company provides excellent services to clients
  • Ensure all services are delivered in line with contractual requirements
  • Work with Senior Stakeholders on projects and service development
  • Ownership of critical service issues
  • Ensure effective training of team members, including adoption of new solutions and/or technology
  • Assist HR when necessary and ensure all procedures are followed
  • Be aware and manage the costs of running the Service Desks.

Key Attributes:


  • Work closely with Senior Management to help develop the service desks
  • Work closely with Chief Operations Officer to help plan technical elements that effect Business Operations
  • You will need to possess a proactive approach
  • You must have experience managing service desk team
  • Experienced in an MSP or ITIL based service desk environment
  • You will need to be flexible of your working pattern as this an international focused business
