Job Title:
Property Maintenance Operative

Salary:
£26:000 - £30,000 all depending on experience

Location:
Catford


The successful applicant will be part of a well-established and experienced team reporting to the Maintenance Manager, as well as working closely with the wider Property Team.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to receive and process work requests.
  • To undertake internal and external tasks to a high level of competence
  • To work in a safe manner following the comprehensive H&S policies
  • To work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
  • To manage a project from inception through to completion
  • To assist in site wide tasks as part of a wider team
  • To work in a residential environment following college policies
  • To work at all sites across the Foundation as directed
  • To maintain equipment and hand tools in good condition
  • To manage stock levels and use purchase order system when purchasing items
  • To report to the Maintenance Manager ongoing site problems
  • To be proactive whilst around site and report/remedy faults
  • To help programme and undertake preventative maintenance tasks
  • To escort contractors and supervise safe methods of work
  • To be available to give advice in emergency situations
  • To assist in the gathering of site information meters/alarm tests/extinguishers
  • In the event of snow to assist in clearing paths/roads/escape routes
  • To assist at school events with car parking/ security /guiding visitors

HOURS OF WORK
37 hours per week, throughout the whole year.
