Description

Our client is currnely looking for a Software Development Team Leader who will be responsible for the day to day running of the software development team, delivery of software projects, software support and the line management of the development team.


The software development team are responsible for a number of internal products and business systems built , C#, visual basic and MySQL.

This position will also play an integral part in the project to modernise the business's software systemsby working closely with the User Experience/Interface Designer to build and develop clean, modern, intuitive and attractive products.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Line management of all member of development team
  • Documentation of systems and changes
  • Monitor, support and maintain the software product environment
  • Monitor, support and maintain the databases
  • Develop approved system changes within the required and agreed timeframe
  • Develop and implement system projects
  • Consult on new projects and Request Changes
  • Respond to and resolve technical incidents, issues and support tickets
  • Take a lead on the technical element of assigned projects
  • Assist in development of training guides and materials for users
Team working

  • Liaise regularly with line manager, direct reports and team members
  • Helping/providing cover for other team members as required
  • Attending team and other staff meetings
  • Supporting new team members and providing onthejob training
Communication and Liaison

  • Ensure all records are maintained and kept uptodate according to company policies and procedures
  • Hold regular 121 meetings with direct reports and document on HR system
Training and development

  • Monitor own work levels, progress and development
  • Monitor and report on team's workload and schedule
  • Undertake all core training and development programmes as required
  • Undertake relevant learning according to agreed Personal Development Plan
  • Assist in building training programmes for team members
