Full Time, 35 hours per week

Fixed Term, 2.5 years
A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available in Dr. Kathryn Bowles' lab at the University of Edinburgh UK DRI centre. We are looking for a researcher interested in using iPSC-derived cultures to model risk for Parkinson's disease.


The Opportunity:


The post-holder will be expected to work with a high degree of independence in day-to-day work, and encouraged to contribute their own ideas to the project direction.

Funding is available to support career development and conference attendance. The research group is based in the UK Dementia Research Institute at the University of Edinburgh.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • PhD or other higher level degree (e.g MD/PhD) in a relevant discipline (neuroscience, neurodegeneration, molecular and cellular biology)
  • Experience in either iPSC culture OR electrophysiology
  • Experience with a range of basic biochemical techniques
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to learn a variety of new skills
