What the role involves in a nutshell:
- Visit pupils and their parents/carers in their homes to build relationships and improve attendance
- Collect identified students from their home and bring them in to the school and, if necessary, take them home again at the end of their session.
- Use a range of assessments and intervention strategies to support students and families to reengage them in their education.
- Work with the Student Services Team in order to support your role as Attendance Officer
