Engineering business based in Ferrybridge, specialising in the fabrication and installation of structural steel, sheet metal work, pipework and general fabrications in the chemical, recycling, water and food industries.

Job description
Exciting position for an enthusiastic skilled Plater to join our friendly team of engineers. We require someone with a keen eye and skills for good workmanship.

The work is widely varied so we need someone who can think and overcome problems using their previous experience and skills learnt.

Responsibilities will include (but aren't limited to);
Working from engineering drawings and sketches.

Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.

Work in a clean and tidy manner

See the job through from start to finish

Be able to read and understand fabrication drawings.

Ability to fabricate and tack weld structures and fabrications to tight tolerances and accuracy.

A good work ethic and good attention to detail.

The ability to work to tight deadlines and work overtime as required.

Comfortable and competent working alone as well as part of a team.

All interviewees will be expected to undertake a weld sample at the interview stage.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£16.30 per hour
plus overtime (overtime rates)

7:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday + overtime on weekends

Salary:
£16.30 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 37.5 per week
