My Client is looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic.

This is a full time permanent role that pays a salary of £45K


You must have a minimum of:

  • Experience of MOT preparations and mandatory VOSA inspections
  • All fault diagnosis and repair
  • Minimum 3 years experience in HGV

Your main duties will be:


  • To repair our company vehicles (class 1 and class 2), mainly DAF in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current regulations
  • Good house keeping and health and safety routines
  • Ensuring all jobs are completed correctly and deadlines are met
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly
  • Utilise all PPE requirements
  • To communicate effectively to the transport management team
  • Flexibility to work shift pattern if required
  • Have a basic knowledge of plant i.e forklift and other types of equipment

Required Skills:


  • City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent would be desirable
  • Good personal and communication skills
  • Class 2 entitlement and class 1 desirable
  • Basic level of numeracy and literacy
  • All MOT preparations and mandatory VOSA inspections
  • All fault diagnosis and repair
  • Should be selfmotivated with initiative
  • Welding, fabrication would be desirable
  • Also some Auto electrical knowledge

Salary:
£45,000.00 per year
