Overview of the role of Teaching Assistant

The salary advertised is the salary paid to you in 12 equal payments, for working 39 weeks of the year.

Working at Westfield enables you to be part of a small but effective team where each individual isplaced at the centre of their own educational pathway.

The work is intensive requiring flexibility, sensitivity, patience and resilience. An ability to work with and engage all students with creativity and passion towards education is essential.


As a Teaching Assistant within our school, you will be providing support to students in and out of the classroom enhancing learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes across Key Stage 2, 3 and 4.

You will be playing your part in helping the school achieve its aims and values.

You will be delivering an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students with support from the leadership team.


What do you need?


We are looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant with experience teaching young people with SEN and SEMH while also having strong English and Maths skills.
