Monday-Friday 08:30-16:30 (Wednesdays half day for lesson prep)


Salary:
£28,000-£40.000 per annum (term time only)

Busy Bee Recruitment are currently assisting with the recruitment of a
Teacher of Sciencefor their special education client based in Reading.


Your main duties as a Teacher of English will be to provide students with a broad and balanced education ensuring the environment is always calm and safe to ensure the children's learning progression.

We are seeking a creative and inspirational teacher whounderstands how to engage and motive children and young adults who struggle with a range of learning disabilities.


Duties of a Teacher of English:

  • Planning and preparing lessons.
  • Encouraging student participation.
  • To monitor the quality of SEND support by establishing effective systems to identity and meet the needs of students, white ensuring that the systems are coordinated evaluated and regularly reviewed.
  • Track progress and the achievements of the children
  • Work with pupils, other work professionals and teaching staff to ensure realistic expectations of behaviour and achievements are set.
  • Contribute to the school's development plan.
  • To communicate with parents and families of the pupils.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with the pupils, their families, and your colleagues.

Requirements:


  • QTS qualification
  • Specialist knowledge of the English curriculum
  • A good understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to get creative and be flexible.
  • Kind and patient personality
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good time management skills
  • A passion for working and learning with children.
