In-house Financial Translator - City of London, United Kingdom - Centre People
Description
A Japanese financial institution in the City of London is looking for an experienced English to Japanese Financial Translator.
You will be responsible for translating English to Japanese information on the macroeconomic situation in the Eurozone and the UK, as well as reports written by Credit Analysts on ESG topics.
Translators with experience within the financial sector are encouragedto apply, however those with experience outside the financial sector will also be considered.

Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 8:30-17:00 from Monday to Friday (Hybrid working style)

up to £50k, DOE

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Translate macroeconomic reports in the Eurozone and the UK, as well as reports written by Credit Analysts on ESG topics (ENG to JPN)
- Translate internal reports, presentation documents etc.
- Receive overseas teamwork orders from Tokyo
- Identify and prioritize further emerging work throughout London business hours
- Allocate work to London and New York inhouse colleagues, aiding with work completion as needed
- Generate orders for outsource work
- Support DTP team with report registration
- Translation of reports and slide materials for Internal usage
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Nativelevel proficiency in English or Japanese, with professionallevel proficiency in the other
- Knowledge of macroeconomics is strongly preferred
- Word, PowerPoint, and Excel proficiency
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant professional qualification
