Our Client a leading Financial company in Nottingham is urgently looking for a Network and Systems Engineer to work in their global support team.
The key responsibilities of the role:
- Windows Desktop & Server support (Windows 10 & Server 2012+)
- Development team support
- Maintaining and updating systems and databases
- Liaise with vendors to resolve equipment issues
- Network Monitoring
- Assisting with Documentation
Configuration, and troubleshooting:
- Watchguard Firewalls/UTM
- Active Directory/Group Policy
- IP routing and switching
- Monitoring platforms such as Zabbix/Splunk
- VPNs (IPSEC client and sitetosite)
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, SQL)
- Experience of implementing and troubleshooting VPN clients and sitetosite VPN connections
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail.
- Experience of implementing and troubleshooting layer7 technologies
- Splunk Experience
- 2+ years in a similar role
