We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join STI Ltd as an Inspector, based at our manufacturing site in Hook.

This is a fantastic opportunity for proactive and hardworking individuals to join a busy and fast-paced team. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.


This will be in our Production department where people pride themselves in making sure all of our products are to the highest standard.

As an Inspector, you will carry out inspection of Printed Circuit Boards to quality and industry standards.


The Inspector role will involve:

  • Using written work instructions and items lists to inspect products to customer specifications and IPC-JSTD001 Class 3 to ensure the quality of the product
  • Inspecting PCBs using magnification equipment
  • Liaising with the Quality department
  • Liaising with Team Leaders / PCB Assemblers to discuss faults and findings
  • Complying with all 5S activities as required

For this role you will need:

  • Ability to work to written instructions and bills of materials
  • IPC certifications are required
  • Experience in PCB inspection is required
  • Understanding of component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • High concentration levels
  • Excellent level of dexterity
  • Flexible and proactive approach
  • Able to respond to changes in demand and meet tight deadlines
