The Role:


  • Madison Berkeley are thrilled to be partnering with one of the UK's leading development and investment management companies, who have an ever evolving, very large scale mixed use scheme in London. The role is Director level and involves taking a creative and strategic approach to their Office portfolio, whilst working closely with the Retail, F&B and Residential teams to ensure a holistic approach to place making. There is a lot of development and redevelopment work taking place across their portfolio and it's an exciting time to join. They have a world class F&B offering, a new Hotel opening soon, an excellent BTR offering and also a strong Life Science presence, all of which make them appealing to new office occupiers. They are looking for someone who can really drive a diverse tenant mix, who can spot opportunities within the Office portfolio for interesting alternative uses, and who wants to play a key role in the evolution of one of London's best known areas.
  • The role involves:
  • Coordinate effective leasing and marketing campaigns to secure tenants for the existing portfolio and for the substantial development pipeline.
  • Strategically and proactively identify tenant targets.
  • Build relationships and liaise directly with decision makers at tenant targets and respective agents.
  • Manage leasing agents including regular agent meetings in order to deliver leasing success.
  • Prepare responses to RFPs and negotiate Heads of Terms whilst liaising with other departments to provide technical and legal input, as required.
  • Provide commercial leasing input for proposed development projects and potential site acquisitions.
  • Ability to use experience to create an innovative approach to satisfy tenants' needs.
  • Maintaining awareness and understanding of market trends / research to inform and drive the development of market practices. Develop excellent working relationships with existing occupiers and to ensure regular meaningful communication.
  • Liaise with external advisors to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Prepare annual business plans with the financial appraisal team and provide input for ongoing review of performance.
  • Interface effectively with other internal departments to provide creative solutions and support to existing tenants.
  • Assist as appropriate in the disposal of existing office investments.
  • Actively participate in internal and external project meetings, agents' meetings etc.
  • Work closely with the team in preparing board reports and strategic advice to enable decision making.

Ideal experience

  • An extensive successful, proven track record of working within the Central London office market with a background in leasing; tenant representation; landlord advisory or from "Client (Landlord) side"
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player able to work independently.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • To be commercially aware, with good business acumen.
  • Willing to learn new skills / work within an agile environment.
