Assistant Buyer, Birmingham, £24-30k
My client is a Birmingham based manufacturing company, supplying customers across the UK with high quality product. An established company who prides themselves on looking after their staff.

At present they are looking to recruit an experienced and proven Assistant Buyer. The position would be perfect for somebody looking to progress and develop their purchasing career.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager.


You will be responsible for:
- *Assist the Purchasing Manager with all tasks in the Procurement Department.
*Pricing services or material for quotations.
*Purchasing various items for the business including consumables, tooling, and raw materials (small amounts).
*Liaising daily with suppliers, discussing rates and pricing.
*Managing supplier to ensure deadlines and performance are met.
*Monitoring stock levels and accuracy.
*Communication and monitoring of supplier performance / deliveries.
*Using ERP system to ensure paperwork is complete and correct from purchase to delivery.
*Completing ERP processes to ensure accuracy and visibility.
*Monitor stock levels, to suggest purchases.
*Communicate with sales regarding stock and costs.
*Produce accurate paperwork and reports, adhering to procedures.
*Identifying possible issue and communicating these.
*Ensuring stock levels are correct identifying issues and proposing solutions.

Salary:
£24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
