Job Description:


As Senior Credit Controller, reporting to the Assistant Accounts Receivable Manager you will work as part of the Accounts Receivable team, through a high degree of autonomy you will be responsible for the management of the Accounts Receivable ledger.

The main duties as Senior Credit Controller include but are not limited to:

  • Adhere to the University's Tuition Fees and Refunds Policy and procedures in relation to debt recovery
  • Daytoday supervision of up to 4 5 Finance Assistants and Administrators
  • Maximise cash collection; reduce and maintain aged debt to a mínimal value using a range of debt chasing methods
  • Run daily Accounts Receivable reports to identify and prioritise debtors
  • General maintenance of the AR ledger to include: small balance write off's, complaint codes, allocations and reconciling journals
  • Support Banking Operations with payment allocation queries to identify the correct account for incoming payments
  • Respond to Debt Collections Agencies queries regarding historical debts in an accurate and timely manner
  • Working with the Assistant Accounts Receivable Manager and the wider team to identify and implement process improvements
The Successful Applicant

The most desirable Senior Credit Controller applicant will have:

  • Substantial Credit Control / Accounts Receivable experience
  • Line management experience (which may include 121s, appraisals and absent management)
  • Agresso / Business World / GFS finance system user knowledge
