JOB PURPOSE
Create and maintain technical documentation including Operation and Maintenance Manuals and Commissioning Procedures for complex mechanical and electrical systems.
Ccontribute to a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team in the creation of technical documentation to an agreed format or industry standard, based upon the output of the design departments and the needs of internal and/or external customers.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create and update detailed technical documents and manuals using Microsoft Word and graphics software as available, in accordance with project requirements
- Confirm technical content of manuals with engineering, purchasing and production staff based on project deliverables
- Produce graphical content for manuals by liaising with drafting staff and selfproduction using graphics software as available.
- Produce deliverables to client including printed matter, Adobe PDF and native formats.
- Adherence to Strainstall documentation style.
- File documentation generated within SharePoint.
- Adherence to Engineering Change Control Process.
- Ensure technical documentation accompanying products is in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with engineering department and project management to establish lists of recommended spares, consumables, special tools and maintenance schedules.
- Liaise & monitoring with translating services as required.
- To implement and maintain ISO 9001 and other required quality and regulatory standards within the technical documentation process.
- Liaise with Project Management to ensure technical documentation is released in accordance with agreed project plans.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with generating, updating, maintaining and controlling technical documentation.
- Focused on delivering to tight deadlines and changing requirements.
- Capable of reacting to changes and willing to go the extra mile to deliver quality documentation.
- Excellent Microsoft Word skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Significant document design and production skills.
- Experience with photographic and graphics software.
- An understanding of engineering practices.
- Ability to work effectively within a team structure, accept and understand management instruction.
- Manage own timescales and specified timescales effectively.
- Attention to detail.
- Flexible for travel to local or overseas sites if required.
