As an Arborist Team Leader, you will be assisting the National Arboriculture Manager in the efficient and effective management of Places for People Landscapes.

You will promote Arboriculture services to both internal and external customers. To support, mentor and develop the staff and deputise for your line manager on issues relating to this area.


You will be responsible for leading the National Tree Survey Project including establishing tree work budgets allowing the operational team to provide a safe and effective delivery of arboriculture services, personally completing a quantity of the surveysacross Preston and surrounding areas in Lancashire.


A driver's licence is essential for this role.

For this role, you will be committed to ensuring Health and Safety of every person you work with and meet on a day-to-day basis, you will be the lead person on site and take responsibility for site safety.


It is essential that you have flexible approach to work and remain calm under pressure as you will be investigating complaints and providing solutions for our stakeholders at Places for People in relation to Arbiculture.


You will need the following qualifications:
Qualified Professional Tree Inspector with HND in arboricultural or equivalent. Driving license essential.

  • All NPTC relevant certificates or equivalent.
  • Excellent tree identification skills.
  • Ability to read landscape drawings.
  • Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
  • Ability to produce risk assessments and method statements.
