Job Description:


Business

  • Maintain pricing and market database and distribute it to the UK network
  • Supporting operators with carrier service issues and escalations
  • Assist Product Manager with regular internal reporting
  • Identify lost quote trends and work with branches to turn those into wins
  • Monitor weekly booking reports
  • Support sales and tender teams with RFQ pricing
  • Analysis of downtrading/lost business and working with branch and sales to correct negative trends
  • Involvement in meetings and negotiations with carriers and hauliers in accordance with business needs to ensure that economies of scale are met and best prices achieved for the Company and/or Client
  • To perform any other duties not defined in the job description as reasonably requested / expected by the Company

Customer Service

  • To be customer facing and identify new business opportunities within existing portfolio of services from existing clients
  • To ensure "Best in Class" customer service is always delivered

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Multi-Modal position, with a proven track record in Operations
  • Handson current experience in air import/export and sea import/export
  • Educated to GCSE standard (minimum of 5)
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office
  • Excel expertise necessary)
  • Commercial freight forwarding industry awareness is essential in this role

Special Conditions

  • This may require travel to other branches and overnight stays out of area during the year
