The role of Growth Sector Lead will drive and deliver a new corporate Account Management approach for business engagement with major businesses to nurture robust relationships, linked to strategic borough outcomes.

This will include Employment Support and Apprenticeships, Education, Adult Learning, Public Health, Local Procurement, Corporate Social Responsibility, Civic Pride and Community Wealth Building In addition the post will also lead on designing and delivering a targeted support programme for growth sector businesses working closely with our partners at Imperial and White City and expanding sector based collaborative opportunities across the borough.


From identifying openings and negotiating with major businesses to ensuring inclusive pathways are developed to meet the local economy's future skills needs, the role will provide a varied and exciting workload.

Role Responsibilities:

This will include Employment Support and Apprenticeships, Education, Adult Learning, Public Health, Local Procurement, Corporate Social Responsibility, Civic Pride and Community Wealth Building In addition the post will also lead on designing and delivering a targeted support programme for growth sector businesses working closely with our partners at Imperial and White City and expanding sector based collaborative opportunities across the borough.


You will need to:

  • Lead on, develop and manage a new corporate Account Management approach for business engagement with major businesses to nurture robust relationships.
  • Ensure that relationships with major businesses are linked to outcomes for the borough including Employment Support, Education, Adult Learning, Public Health, Corporate Social Responsibility, Civic Pride, Community Wealth Building etc.
  • Identify openings and negotiate effectively with major businesses to bring value added opportunities for MSME's and residents.
  • Develop strategic relationships with businesses from the borough's key growth sectors to identify growth plans and establish partnership work between businesses and the council to collaborate for mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Work closely with the strategic head of industrial strategy to ensure strong collaboration and partnership with major business to refresh industrial strategy; ensure robust governance; and effective delivery.
