This position is for an individual who wants to have a positive impact on young people who have low self-esteem and confidence.
Through the lens of construction skills (woodwork, brickwork, plastering, decorating) you will be helping a lead tutor to develop a well rounded individual who understands; mutual respect, hard work, commitment, empathy, kindness and a positive growth mindset.
You would be working to support small groups of 13-16 year old learners with SEMH difficulties to achieve a qualification in construction.
Have you worked with vulnerable young people? Do you have construction skills/DIY you can use to support student learning? Are you up for a challenge? This could be the job for you
You will work alongside our Designated Safeguard Lead and help the young person become more self aware whilst growing in confidence both physically and mentally.
You will be expected to help support our lead tutor to enable our young people achieve an accredited Entry Level or Level 1 Award in construction skills.
