We are seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team.

As an IT Security Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our organization's computer systems and networks.

You will work closely with our IT team to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

Duties:

• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents
• Manage and maintain security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and virtual private networks (VPNs)
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Stay uptodate with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices
• Conduct employee training on security awareness and best practices

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, and routing protocols
• Experience with implementing and managing security systems such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, and VPNs
• Familiarity with public key infrastructure (PKI) and certificate management
• Proficiency in cloud architecture and security principles
• Knowledge of load balancing techniques for high availability environments
• Experience with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite
• Strong scripting skills in languages like shell scripting
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail

Salary:
£27,110.04-£35,000.00 per year
