About the Role

Location:
West London, Slough


Salary:
£35,142 to £40,246 depending on skills and experience + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.


Working Pattern:

The role of the Civils Co-ordinator will be to plan and coordinate the work of all contractors and employees to ensure that work is carried out where there is the greatest operational necessity, by balancing planned work with any emergency work, to ensure resources are appropriately allocated and SSE receives the best value for money.


Key duties will include:

  • Assess internal and external resources for the jobs in hand whiles assessing the work required taking into consideration building structures, the security and safety on site for each substation within ESQCR regulations.
  • When coordination and planning work they will need to have an awareness of environmental limitations and restrictions, asbestos and the operational restrictions on site including the plant, voltage of the area of network and how the network is fed.
  • Act as the face of SSE when dealing with external customers, uphold the customer charter and strive to deliver world class customer service when responding to customer enquiries and monitoring customer satisfaction with works carried out to protect and uphold the SSE brand.
  • Responsible for coordinating 3rd party landowners and delivering internal as well as external customer service.
  • When required, assess plant replacement.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role:

  • Working knowledge and understanding of asbestos, an understanding of Structural designs, building materials and build quality would be beneficial.
  • To prioritise work appropriately an understanding of the Geographical areas of importance for SSE would be advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 and IT.
