As a Receptionist with ISS UK, you will be an ambassador for both ISS and our clients.

The Role

  • Create a positive experience for guests and colleagues and provide amazing customer service at all times
  • Be an exceptional spokesperson and engage with your guests queries about site and operations
  • Build your knowledge of your environment and promote the various destinations, food services and activities
  • Take opportunities to foster relationships and build rapport with guests and colleagues
  • Keep an eye out for any innovations or improvements we can make to the workplace, site experience and culture, and be ready to share your ideas
  • Emanate a positive energy during tours being an advocate the business by sharing your knowledge of the site's workspaces, facilities and general culture
  • Manage access & egress of the client building, including administer booking system for Visitor Management, Meeting Rooms, and Desk Bookings, within the client's workspace & where needed the landlords shared workspaces.
  • Patrolling the client's facility, dealing promptly with any suspicious incidents which may occur onsite.
  • Attend as directed to all incidents and act as a first line response in emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents inside the clients' building when called upon for assistance.
  • Escalating, communicating & reporting any incidents with the appropriate persons, Communications Centre, Linemanager, Regional Operations Manager & emergency services when necessary.
  • Inputting into reports for any incidents or daily occurrences.
  • Deal with any visitors to site in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Logging and reporting issues to the Helpdesk providing all required details & updating the client (as needed) & escalate as required to the relevant persons.
  • Monitor the site from a H&S & Security aspect, identifying, reporting any shortcomings to linemanagement.
  • Liaison with visitors & contractors, ensure they are all inducted to site & that any shortcomings are rectified.
  • Operate the CCTV network cameras and maintain the videotape management system.
  • Deal with general queries made by the wider ISS team or client as and when necessary.
  • Handle and record all lost and found property onsite.
  • Monitor the carpark inflow levels, disabled parking and redirection of visitors where necessary.
  • Carryout any reasonable request as directed by a line management.
  • Delivery of mail room services to help meet the customer's needs & in line with building processes & procedures.
  • Ensure no security & data breaches happen within your area of control.
  • Highlight any areas of improvement within your service delivery
  • Be an active participant within ISS's H&S processes, 10at10/Team Board meeting & Account Calls

About You

  • You have fantastic customer service skills and you're ready to take it to the next level
  • You have a social and welcoming personality and can engage with everyone professionally
  • You're a team player but can confidently work independently
  • You consider others and have the drive to help wherever you can
  • Have experience working with relevant systems (e.g., MS Office)
  • Ideally be screened in accordance with BS7858, SIA licenced & hold in date
  • Emergency 1st Aid at Work certification or willing to undertake relevant training
