Additional Information:


  • Salary band £28k to £34k (depending upon experience) with potential for further reward based on performance and outcomes
  • Initial 2 years & 5 months contract with Nottingham Trent University with pathway to ongoing permanent employment with Elite Capital.
  • Although employed by NTU this will be an inperson role based at the Elite Capital site in Central Birmingham

We sell products under these brands via the European Amazon network, currently Amazon Germany is our biggest market, with Amazon UK second.

France, Spain and Italy have been added more recently and are small but growing. A warehouse project in the Netherlands to supply the EU has been initiated to help address logistics issues.


About the Role


An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an AI Specialist to work in Partnership with Elite Capital and Nottingham Trent University (NTU) as part of a collaborative project.


The role requires competence in programming, Chinese language and culture and knowledge of international business and key functions in Freight, shipping, supply chain planning and coordination.

This project provides a unique opportunity to simultaneously develop both your academic and industry experience, whilst also delivering real business impact.


The primary objective of this project is to help Elite Capital (trading as BarberBoss) overcome the challenge of digitizing their operations, making them more data-driven, and integrating with services such as Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA).

To achieve this, the associate will investigate current operations, compare with best practice and create a plan to digitise the business.

This will involve the use of AI-based code generators like Microsoft/GitHub CoPilot, ChatGPT-4, as well as other AI based support tools, with academic support from NTU.


You will have at minimum a good bachelor's or master's degree in an IT/Information Systems or Business Applications or related discipline.
