A unique opportunity to join a friendly, vibrant team at an independent production and brand licensing company, which specialises in family entertainment and manages a portfolio of much-loved children's brands.
The company is focussed on delivering high quality imaginative films and products which delight children and family audiences and deliver value.
The Licensing Assistant is a newly created role due to expansion, and this person will join the team at an exciting time building up to the launch of their new TV series.
It's a great development opportunity for someone with an interest in both the commercial and product development aspects of brand licensing.
So, what will you be doing following your induction?
- The Licensing Assistant will report directly to the UK Licensing Manager, and will support the team across commercial licensing, brand partnerships and retail activity.
- Tasks will include: organising team diaries; managing licensee status sheets; producing brand presentations; assisting with new deal term sheets and paperwork; managing the contract management database Mediabox, ensuring it is accurate and up to date, and filing all documentation as instructed
- Participating in team meetings, along with licensee and retailer meetings, both internally and externally. As the role evolves there will be opportunity to take on the responsibility of being a key point person for licensees commercial discussions and ongoing account management.
- Ensuring licensees, agents, brand owners and retailers receive up to date info, sales material, status reports and other relevant assets on a regular basis
- Attending key tradeshows and assisting with preparations and management of the company's stand for shows such as Brand Licensing Europe.
What would we like you to bring?
- This will suit someone with an interest in brand extension with education / work experience in either marketing, licensing, sales, retail buying or branding.
- Interested in developing commercial licensing experience.
- Someone who will thrive on keeping a busy team running, facilitating a smooth schedule of meetings, events, correspondence and paperwork.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fluid environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities, sharing learnings and information with the team.
- Ideally good knowledge of children's entertainment characters and brands, or a passion for children's stories and films.
- Confident meeting new people and presenting ideas, building positive relationships both internally and externally.
